Help Support the Oxford Ferret Rescue!

Do you live in the Maryland/Delaware/Pennsylvania area? Do you have plans for Saturday, November 4? If not, you can help support the Oxford Ferret Rescue and have a fun time while you do! Read below for event details from the shelter.

ANNOUNCING THE 4TH ANNUAL HOE-DOWN IN THE HILLS FOR OXFORD FERRET RESCUE!!!!!

Mark your calendars for Nov. 4, 2006 at 12 pm. This is the Oxford Ferret Rescue's biggest fundraiser of the year!

As you all know, ferret dumping has been at an all time high for the past year and the shelter is over flowing with older/sick ferrets. Currently there are over 30 ferrets on various meds, with many on more than 1 medication. This fundraiser helps the shelter keep its doors open to all of the abandoned ferrets in the area, and provides funds to care for all of the ferrets currently in the shelter.

At Hoe-down in the Hills, you can enjoy delicious food, fun games, and great prizes. You can shop from vendors with original items, enter raffles, participate in a live auction and so much more. It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with the family.

Where: Ed Walls Building at the Fair Hill Fairgrounds, Rt. 273 & Rt. 213, Fair Hill, MD
When: Saturday Nov 4, 2006 from 12 pm to 6:30

FREE ADMISSION!

No pets allowed. The event is being held indoors, rain or shine.
The live auction will begin at approximately 5 pm.
For information, please call 410-620-6246.

There is a new online bidding system this year. Dee Bickling has spent many hours putting this together for those of you that cant attend the auction. You can still bid and win! Simply go to the following link:

http://www.imageuploading.com/ims/album.php?u_id=119405bXel

Click on the photo album and 19 pages will load. The 19 pages are on 3 different pages. Once the pages come up, click on each page for it to load full sized.

Raffles
Email dbickling@verizon.net with what number you would like and how many tickets for that number. Let her know if you will be paying thru paypal or snail mail. Paypal money can be sent to dbickling@verizon.net. Extra will need to be added to cover paypal fees. You will receive an email confirming that your request was received, and your name will be written on the back of your tickets.

Live Auction
Online bids can be placed during the auction, and Dee Bickling will be entering your bids. Send her an email letting her know which items you would like to bid on and the maximum amount you would like to bid. She will notify you after the auction if you won the item.

NOTE: Anyone who wins a raffle or live auction item is responsible for the shipping amounts to mail that item to you. Please look carefully and consider this when bidding. Some items are very heavy.

Feel free to email Dee if you have any questions about any item on the listings.

Thank you all for supporting Oxford Ferret Rescue/Cecil County Animal Rescue ! Good Luck on all your raffles and live auction bids!

Back from the HOFA Buckeye Bash

We had such a great time at the Buckeye Bash! We were right across from the area where they held the games, so got to watch all of the ferret fun events, such as the tube races, the kissing contest, and the Ferret Costume Contest! HOFA had a huge raffle table, and The Ferret Store also helped to raise money for their group by raffling off TheFerretStore.com Ferret Nation Two Story Complete Home.

For those of you who came out, thank you so much for supporting HOFA and the ferret community! Every person who comes to a ferret show not only helps raise money for the ferret shelter, but helps to spread the word about ferrets as well! If you want to know if there is a ferret event in your area, check out the Announcements and Upcoming events page on FerretFacts.com. We may just see you there! If you would like your event to be listed on that page, email kristeno@neeps-inc.com.

For those of you who couldn't make it, here are some fun pictures for you!
